Common questions

Where is my data stored?
Only on your device. ServiceVault has no account and no server — nothing is uploaded anywhere unless you explicitly export or share it yourself.

How do I back up or move my data to a new phone?
Settings → Data → Backup & Transfer. You can export everything (or a subset of vehicles) as a file and share it via AirDrop, Messages, Mail, or Files. Importing merges by vehicle, so re-importing the same file never duplicates anything.

What OBD-II adapters work with ServiceVault?
Any Bluetooth LE adapter that speaks the ELM327 command set — this covers the vast majority of consumer OBD-II adapters sold today. Classic (non-LE) Bluetooth adapters are not supported, since iOS doesn't allow apps to connect to them without special hardware certification.

Do I need an OBD-II adapter to use the app?
No. Vehicle tracking, service history, reminders, parts inventory, manual trouble-code entry, VIN decode, and safety recalls all work without one. An adapter is only needed to read codes and live data directly off your car.

Is ServiceVault Pro a subscription?
No — it's a single one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited vehicles, the OBD-II adapter, recorded sessions, and PDF reports, forever.
