Common questions

Where is my data stored?

Only on your iPhone and in Apple Health. ZephyRun has no account and no server — nothing is uploaded anywhere.

Do I need an Apple Watch to use ZephyRun?

No. Every core feature — setting up a plan, tracking a run, seeing your progress — works fully on iPhone alone. A paired Watch is an enhancement (an on-wrist run view, continuous heart rate), never a requirement.

How are my paces set?

Automatically, from your run history in Apple Health — nothing to enter yourself. See Settings → "How your plan works" in the app for the full explanation.

How do I back up or export my run history?

Settings → Data & privacy → Export my runs gives you a CSV of everything logged. Apple Health itself is the durable record — ZephyRun reads from it rather than keeping its own separate backup.

How do I delete my data?

Settings → Data & privacy → Delete all my data removes your plan and preferences from the app. It doesn't touch Apple Health — manage that separately in the Health app.

Is ZephyRun free?

Yes, currently free to use. A one-time optional unlock may be introduced in a future update — never a subscription, and never anything that gates plan generation or run tracking.

Why don't I see a heart rate during my run?

Heart rate only appears with a paired Apple Watch (or, in future, a Bluetooth chest strap) contributing live samples. iPhone alone has no wrist sensor — the app never blocks or nags for it.
